Arches

Yet another family vacation with the ENTIRE family! There was a lot of firsts going around. FIRST camping trip for little miss Quinn, FIRST Dearden camping experience for Brenna, FIRST time to Arches for Denali, Quinn, Malcolm, Brenna, and Bridget, and FIRST technical slot for Ashley and Ryan.

Thursday -the first day- we drove to Arches, set up camp, and relaxed in the beautiful Arches campground.

What Denali did while we set up camp.
Friday -day two- we all got pretty and took family pictures (which I don't have a copy of any). We all felt really weird doing our hair and makeup and dressing up in nice clothes.

We quickly got out of our nice clothes and hiked to Delicate Arch!

The rest of the day was spent eating ice cream in Moab and relaxing by the camp fire.

Saturday -day three- I watched the sunrise over our camp waiting for everyone else (besides Ashley and Dad who were off on a hike with Mal) to get up. We started the day off hiking around Devils Garden.

Mighty Ryan

We all took turns carrying Bridget. 1/4 of my weight.

"I wonder what's down there"

After lunch half of us hiked Dragonfly Canyon! Andrew and I did this same hike last year and had a completely different experience. We had to swim through potholes, this time the only person who got wet Andrew who showed, for the first time, his clumsy side. :)

Amazing full moon! Picture doesn't do it justice.
Sunday -the last day- We packed up camp and headed to the Windows area.

Blow out.

The drive home always seems long but the trip was amazing. Everyone had a great time, the weather was perfect, and the laughs were numerous.
