Denali (almost) 8 Months

Denali will be 8 months old next week. Since I had a little extra time now I though I would give an update on how she's doing.

No stats because she doesn't go back to the doctor till she is 9 months old.

Denali's favorite activities are reading books with mom and dad. As of this morning she can turn the pages (with some of mom's help of course)! Nali loves to stand, using the couch as support and gets mad if you try to make her sit. She really likes to play with anything that makes noise like her crinkle books or her rattles.

Denali tries to pull herself up on things but doesn't quite yet have the strength or coordination to do it. She can finally roll over both ways! She can now use her pincer grasp like a champ! Although she struggles with the concept to pick the food up, take it to your mouth, and then let go of it! She just tries to suck on the food while she still has it in her hand rather then letting go and eating it.

Denali says things like Da Da Da Da Da and Ba Ba Ba but so far no real words. I've been doing sign language with her for about 4 months now and I can tell that she knows what I'm saying but she has yet to sign anything back to me.

Nal is sleeping well, waking up once at night to eat. She'll go down all by herself. We change her bum, read a book, lay her down in her crib, tell her I love her and walk out. No crying, nothing, just goes to sleep. Can you say Angle baby?!

We'll do a "photo shoot" this week with her and add some pictures to the post!
