Denali just hit her 18 month mark. Man she is going so old. I guess that means i'm getting old too. The doctor's first comment last week was that she is his healthiest patient. Denali has never been into the doctor for anything but well check ups. She got her dad's immune system and amazingly stays very healthy even if she's playing with other sick toddlers.
Everyday Denali amazes me with how much she learns and picks up from me and everyone else. She now says well over a 100 words and puts 3 or 4 together to make some kind of a phrase. You can hear her say something like "Malcolm upstairs too" or "babies bum hurts" (this is because when Denali has diaper rash, she tells me her bum hurts).
Denali is working on her coordination and doesn't fall down nearly as much as she used to. She likes to "jump" but all she really does is rise up to her tippy toes, throws her hands in the air, yells "jump!", and then falls to the floor.
She seems to enjoy most things we do together but if I had to pick a few activities that she thinks is most fun they would include: swimming, going on walks, pretend play with her baby doll, and reading books. She also enjoys rough housing with Andrew when he gets home from school.
Denali loves to count to ten, but she does miss a few numbers each time, "one, two, free, six, nine, ten!!"
The rest of the post includes photos from my phone that I've taken throughout the fall. It doesn't include all of them (not even close) but a lot of my favorites.
