Monday

Monday we went CAVE TUBING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was the sweetest thing of my life. we had to walk about twenty min to get to the place where we would be getting into the water. That part sucked because it was soooooooooooo buggy! like i mean bugs EVERYWHERE and not one of us remembered bug spray. but that part was also cool because the day before i had given my book of Mormon to one of our guides that was interested in it and so the whole way he was asking us questions and it was really fun to rack our brains and answer all his questions.
We had to jump off 20 foot cliff to get into the river (my grandma when on this same tour and the whole time i was thinking "my grandma did this?!")

If you have ever been in a cave....that's what it looks like. only with a big river flowing through it. It had all the cool thingers hanging down and it was pitch black when we turned our lights off. The water was warm at first but it started getting really really cold after awhile.

After the tube ride we got on the bus and headed towards a small city where one of our guides lived to eat some lunch provided by his wife. It was the traditional stewed chicken, beans and rice. It was super yummy in my tummy.

After a quick lunch we hopped on some speed boats and headed up the river to Lamanai. The river was really cool because it wasn't really big so you were surrounded by trees and birds and they guy said that if we were lucky we would see a crock. but i guess we weren't lucky.

Me and Keri on the speed boat.

Lamanai is a cool name because it is closest to it's original name which strangely sounds like lamenites.....hmmmm?

This is Nate acting like Indiana Jones in front of one of the temples.

Do we look the same?Jason decided to try a bite of the hottest chili in Central America......and then splashed water on his face...... you cant tell super well but is face so bright red! lesson learned.
me and Luke pull'n out the model shot on the top of the temple.in one of the fields we had to walk through there were freaking taranchulas every where! i was so scared! Nate touched it! he really touched it and it turned around and snapped at him!ya for lamanai!uh...i guess the sun was bright. After taking this picture we hear the black kids mom say "what is my child doin in the picture" in her black personess.

this is our reflection in the water. it was so super smooth.
