second day!

Today was mucho fun! we woke up, had some amazing breakfast(including the best pineapple ever!) and then got on the bus and headed to the pakaya volcano. It was quite a crazy ride there! we were off roading in a bus!!!!! haha anywho, when you get off the bus you get surrounded by tons of children trying to sell you walking sticks for a buck and some others selling you a horse ride up the mountain for 10 dollars. I decided i wanted to take a horsy up just for the ride so i pulled out some money and they next second i'm surrouned by like ten boys trying to get me to pick their horse. one kid took my hand and let me to his so of course i picked his. I couldnt speak much spanish but i did ask him how old he was. he was seventeen, my age, and once i informed him of that all the other boys started laughing and saying stuff to him and he looked really embarrassed.
so it was about 4 miles to the top of the volcano and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty dang sure that if i was in america there was no way we would be able to do the stuff we did. we got to walk all around in the crater and we got to see an actual lava flow! like real live red hot lava! i was 5 feet away from it! amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but also freaking hot. It was super scary cuz all the rocks were super sharp and not so safe so lots of kids got cut up.
after the volcano we got lunch at burger king. you would not believe how hard it is to order when you dont know what they are saying!
we headed to the museum about the maya but it was closed earlier then usual for some reason so we couldnt go in:( but bro pearce filled us in on all of the amazing similaritys found in the book of mormon to the maya history.
now we are just chilling at the hotel for a couple hours before dinner.
tomorrow we will head out to lake atiklan or something like that to shop swim and look at some more awesome stuff!
I'm having a blast and I'm being safe mom! although i should have brought some more money...the people here are amazing and i fit right in with the group. Miss you all!!!!!!!!

oh ps! last night was freaking super sweet! it was pouring rain so some of the boys and i got in our swim suits (and a dress for me) and went to the roof! It was like a freaking movie! i swear it was a hurricain or something it was raining sooooo hard! more people came up and we jumped in the puddles and looked at all the lighting(scary cuz we were on the roof of the highest building in town) and at one point we head hands and spun around in a circle singing Hey Jude! goodness i really was screaming because it was SOSOSOSOSOOSOSOS amazing! and the swimming pool is sweet as! which of course is my fav part about the hotel!
